Describe your embedded project in a few keywords. I will respond within one to two working days with an initial technical assessment.

Embedded projects are best started with a brief conversation in which the project is sketched out. On this basis, it is possible to assess whether there is technical fit and which contract model suits the project. Initial consultation and rough project assessment are free and non-binding — even if no engagement results in the end.

NDA-readiness for confidential projects is a matter of course. If your project is under confidentiality, a non-disclosure agreement can be signed before the first detailed conversation — a NDA template is available and can be adapted as required.

What Is Clarified in the Initial Consultation

An initial consultation typically lasts 30 to 60 minutes and clarifies the following points:

• Task: What should the project achieve, in which environment does it run, which interfaces exist?
• Constraints: Volume, cost frame, size, power consumption, regulatory requirements, schedule
• Technical fit: Which of my experience areas match the task, where is uncertainty?
• Contract model: Fixed-price contract, hourly budget or a combination — depending on project character
• Next steps: Preparation of a written rough effort estimate, offer, NDA agreement if needed

You can write your initial enquiry in any of the 24 languages supported by this website. I usually reply in German or English — for other languages I use a translation tool for the first reply. The intent is to make it easier for you to get in touch.

Phone and video conference

Exclusively German or English. Other languages are not productive in oral communication.

Contracts, specifications and project documentation

Exclusively German or English. This is a precondition for unambiguous agreements and traceable deliveries — both have to be legally and technically exact.

Response Times

• E-mail initial enquiry: response within one to two working days
• Initial consultation slot: usually possible within one week
• Written offer after initial consultation: typically 3 to 7 working days, depending on complexity

For urgent enquiries with time pressure, please mention this in the initial enquiry — I try to make short-notice initial consultations possible, but cannot guarantee this in every case.

Address and Contact Details

Note on the address: The company is based in Alsace, on the German-French border. Activity is, however, international — predominantly remote, with clients in Germany, other EU countries, and prospectively in the Nordic countries. Geographic proximity to the client is not required.

What I Need from You to Respond Quickly

A well-founded initial assessment is easier when the initial enquiry contains a few points:

• What is the task? One or two sentences on the technical direction
• In which industry/application? Automotive, medical technology, industry, building services, other
• What is the approximate scope? A few days of consulting or an end-to-end development project over several months?
• What is the schedule? When should the project start, when should it deliver?
• Who is the contact person? Name, role, company — that simplifies the first reply

More is not needed for the first contact. Detailed specifications and confidential content belong in the follow-up conversation or in an NDA-protected phase.
